Arina Sobolenko is a Belarusian tennis player, the world's number one and one of the brightest stars of modern tennis. She was born on May 5, 1998, in Minsk. Childhood and Early Career Arina grew up in a sports family: her father Sergey was a hockey player. She stumbled into tennis by chance — one day, while driving by courts with her father, she asked to be enrolled in classes and fell in love with the sport immediately.
